Ingredients

1 loaf egg bread, cubed
2 cups cornbread, cubed
1 cup diced celery
1 cup diced onion
1 teaspoon sage, minced
1 teaspoon rosemary, minced
1 teaspoon thyme, minced
4 ounces butter
½ cup chicken or turkey stock
2 teaspoons salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Step 1: Toast the bread
Place the cubed egg bread and cornbread on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, or until dry and lightly golden.
Step 2: Cook the vegetables
Melt the butter in a large sauté pan. Add the diced celery and onion. Cook on low heat for about 20 minutes, until soft. Stir in the sage, rosemary, and thyme.
Step 3: Combine the mixture
Pour the cooked vegetables over the toasted bread cubes. Add the salt and pepper. Toss gently to combine. Pour in the stock and toss again until the bread is evenly moistened.
Step 4: Bake the stuffing
Transfer the stuffing to a buttered baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes, or until heated through and golden brown on top.
