Meet our amazing kitchen assistant, Stephanie Jimenez. Mexican-American, born in Seattle and raised in Inglewood, CA. With a background in Child & Adolescent Development and education, Stephanie brings both heart and

skill into the kitchen. At Los Angeles Cooking School, she combines her love for teaching and cooking every day. Outside of the kitchen, you’ll find her ru

nning, exploring new places, enjoying beach sunsets, cooking at home, coloring, and embracing self-care rituals.

Her biggest inspiration comes from her mom and grandma. From helping with everyday meals to learning how to make everything from scratch when her grandma visited from Mexico, Stephanie’s passion was built hands-on. From tortillas to mole, menudo, and pozole, those moments shaped her deep appreciation for authentic, homemade food.

Her go-to meals are all about comfort and flavor. Think over-medium eggs with refried beans, fresh salsa, avocado, queso fresco, and warm tortillas for breakfast. For lunch or dinner, dishes like carne con papas en chile with Mexican rice and frijoles de la olla always hit the spot.

What she loves most about LACS? Every class is different. Assisting chefs and guiding students through the cooking process is what keeps her inspired. Watching people learn, try new flavors, and feel proud of what they create is the most rewarding part.
